Loan Approval Process
1. Submit Loan Application
Fill in the official SSCMS loan application form. Specify the loan type, amount, purpose, and repayment period you are requesting.
2. Provide a Guarantor
Nominate at least one active SSCMS member as your guarantor. The guarantor must agree in writing to be liable if you default.
3. Loan Committee Review
The SSCMS Loan Committee reviews your application, verifies your savings history, checks for any existing defaults, and assesses your repayment capacity.
4. Approval or Rejection
The Loan Committee communicates the decision. If approved, the exact loan amount and repayment schedule is confirmed with you. If rejected, you may re-apply after addressing the stated reasons.
5. Disbursement
Approved funds are disbursed directly to you via the Treasurer or the Society's bank account. A 1–2% processing fee applies to the loan amount.
Default & Recovery Policy
A loan is considered in default if payment is overdue by more than 30 days.
Recovery Actions
- Formal written notification to the borrower
- Engagement of the guarantor for repayment

- Legal action if all other means are exhausted
